The welcome screen can include content search, configurable Smart Link Menu and Widgets, Videos, Deep Links, Most Visited Pages, Open and Closed Questions, and Banners.

Instant Search & Knowledge Base

Employees are able to access Knowledge Articles any time, anywhere based on the common requests published to the Portal. These answers can include attached files such as images, videos, tables, and rich text, as well as guiding employees through specific HR processes or downloading documents, as needed.

HR Articles & How to Guides

Publish HR Articles, employee and manager how to guides such as; "How to update appraisals", "how to request and authorize vacation", "how to update personal details".

Add documentation such as; employee handbooks, HR policies and HR & Employee procedures. All of these articles and documents will be indexed for search, making it easy for employees to locate the content they are looking for.

Ask HR Questions

When employees cannot find a suitable answer or solution through the published HR Knowledge Base, they can ask a question through a case. Dovetail's Instant Related Knowledge Search is automatically searched as the employee enters their question or request. The goal is to deflect the case creation, if the content is already available, reducing workload for the HR team. With Dovetail’s intuitive portal interface and the ability to attach relevant files, employees play an active role in getting your team everything they need to take on new HR requests.

Case Tracking for Employees

Once a request is submitted, employees can obtain up-to-date information at the click of a button, as well as update their requests, adding necessary notes or attachments. Cases will also show related articles that may help the employee solve their question on their own. Employee updates trigger alerts to HR team members, allowing for consistent collaboration and communication, regardless of schedules or location.

Employee Feedback & Ratings

It's important to enable your employees a channel to provide feedback about the article or page they are reading. The feedback and rating will be added to the HR only version of the page, and the page owner will be notified. Celebrate 5/5 ratings, and update content where ratings and feedback are low. Overall this keeps content updated, fresh, and your employees engaged.
